Alongside our LinkedIn message integration, new LinkedIn messages now also update last interaction! You can see more here:

Kevin Sun: Awesome! How generic is the underlying data structures for this? If I wanted to build a tool to automatically do similar for chats on other social networks/etc, would I be able to do so? Or is it LinkedIn specific.
Kevin Sun
Glenn Grant: At the moment, we're going to try to plan for last interaction types for other messaging apps, but there's no way to do so for other chat messages. (via our API, you can create notes, which also automatically update last interaction)

Kevin Sun: Cool, thanks for the info. Would be really cool to see this exposed in the API's sometime, as it would allow the community to add support for a wider variety of platforms/integrations at a greater pace than the Dex team may be able to,

Agree. Gotta have this. Manually logging. Reduces value.

That is a mandatory feature. Prioritize ASAP.

Definitely agree on this one. Right now I'm manually logging LinkedIn messages. That's OK going forward, but there's a HUGE history of messages that I just don't have in Dex that would be valuable.

This would be huge! Thank you!!

Honestly this would be a gamechanger for me. There are lots of touchpoints that I connect with folks via and having them automatically pull into dex would make my world MUCH easier. Basically what you do with Gmail, but with Linkedin.

This could also include the ability to begin writing a message (or link to messaging) a contact from within Dex. This is one of my main workflows for contacting people in my network!
