I have three requests dealing with adding tags. They’re intended to increase tag utilization and ease of application.

1) Please give us a simpler URL: https://getdex.com/appv3/tags instead of https://getdex.com/appv3/settings/tags

2) Make an individual tag page more like a group page. E.g., if I’m in my tag page “classmates,” I want a big blue button in the upper right of the computer browser window just like Groups have. This is really important for one simple reason: when I add tags from the Contacts page, it doesn’t eliminate from that list the people who are already tagged with the tag I’m working through. For people like me with thousands of contacts, it’s impossible to keep track of who is already added otherwise.

3) Along the lines of keeping track and sorting people for tags, please devise a “QUICK ACTION” process to each tag (and perhaps each group). I see this like a dating app: swipe left says NO to adding the tag, swiping right says YES, and adds the tag.

4) This way, I can work through 4000 contacts and get to the end without going through the list and trying to remember where I left off last time I was trying to organize folks. On this last ‘quick action’ suggestion, I think it would be helpful to have a button that ‘clears the cache,’ so that you can go through your full untagged contact list again after going through it once. Maybe you’d want to revisit tags in the future for people who didn’t receive the tag the first time.

In any case, I love tags. I think they have great utility. But I hate them and have had a hard time using them because it’s not easy to work through a list with many contacts without becoming super frustrated.
