Fix LinkedIn DM → Dex Notes (or Improve Email Parser)

I’ve been using Dex’s email-to-note feature heavily to log my LinkedIn DMs, and I wanted to share what I’m seeing — plus a feature suggestion.
As an Android user, I can’t get LinkedIn DMs to flow directly into Dex (if iPhone users can, I’d love to hear it!). So my workaround is to forward each message from LinkedIn to my Dex inbox, customize the subject/body, and send it along.
Here’s what I’m seeing:
Dex creates the note but does not automatically attach it to the contact, even when:
• The contact already exists in Dex
• The contact name in my subject line exactly matches the record
• I include the LinkedIn profile URL in the subject and/or body
Dex also strips punctuation and ignores any timestamp I include in the body — so I still have to edit and manually attach the note afterward.
This makes logging multiple DMs time-consuming.
Feature Suggestion:
Ideally: Fix LinkedIn DM → Dex Notes so it works natively (at least for Android).
If that’s not possible, then:
• Match contacts based on LinkedIn profile URLs (not just email addresses)
• Preserve punctuation (periods, commas) in note text
• Optionally use a date/time in the email body as the event timestamp
This would save power users significant time and make Dex even more valuable for anyone using LinkedIn DMs as a primary networking channel.
