I disconnected my LinkedIn account because I received this message from them: "We noticed unusual activity from your account. This includes an unusually large number of profile views and/or viewing patterns that indicate the use of an automated tool.

"To help guard against abuse and to protect Member privacy, we don’t permit the use of software tools that automate activity on LinkedIn. We also limit accounts from viewing an unusually large number of Member profiles.

"If you are using any automation tools or if you are manually viewing an unusually large number of profiles, please stop and check the box below to confirm you understand LinkedIn’s User Agreement (Section 8.2).

"I won’t use tools that automate activity on LinkedIn or view an unusually large number of Member profiles. I understand that my account may be suspended if I don’t comply."
