This is now done! We now support sorting by name (default) or size -- your preferences will be saved. We've also made this section collapsible.

Kevin Sun: Hey Kevin! I noticed that sorting by name does not put the groups in alphabetic order... Is that how it's supposed to be?
Kevin Sun
Gonçalo Torgal: Hi Goncalo! It should -- is it possible that you have different cases? (uppercase / lowercase). The sort does not take into account emoji and is case sensitive. If you're not seeing a correct sort, could you share your operating system too? Happy to take a look.

Kevin Sun: Hi Kevin! I solved it! Some of my groups had a space before the name that's why it was not in the correct order. Thanks for your reply!

If not implementing nested groups or labels (e.g., https://roadmap.getdex.com/feature-requests/p/subgroups-and-nested-groups), please at least let us change the order of groups. I tried to break large groups into smaller groups (similarly named) to help organise, but they ended up all over the group list.

Andrew Andrew: Hi Andrew! Would alphabetical organization be useful in this particular case (similarly named groups) or would you have a strong preference for manual ordering?

Kevin Sun: To be honest, did not expect such a quick response! Thanks!
I would happily take alphabetical ordering if that's easier/quicker to get into the roadmap. I (and I imagine other users) can manually order using A-Z (classic "!_Impt" "z_ignore" style groups/folders). I think alphabetical ordering would 90% solve my need here.
Manual ordering (i.e., drag-and-drop ordering) would be nice, but only as
additional
to alphabetical (i.e., users would probably complain if we could only manually sort). Thanks again for following up my request.
