Ooh! I also need this. I ended up building something custom for my pipeline in Airtable and use Dex a lot less now.
An important element is defining the
next action
for people in my pipeline, while their context is all loaded up in my head. Like “if I don’t hear back from them by next week, remember to ask them X” I tried to use groups for pipeline stages, which works ok, but I tried to use Reminders for the next actions. And that was a HUGE mess because there’s no way to filter Reminders by group (or by anything!!)(This may be its own post, but it’s such an important of the pipeline concept for me that I wanted to mention it early)

Customisable Categories for contact boards
A
Alex Toh
Dex presently has a feature where contacts are categorised in a board with vertical columns. However, the categories and descriptions for each contact type are fixed.
One use of a personal CRM, is a short extension into business relationship management for professionals like myself who don't rely on, or don't find the need for complicated corporate CRM systems.
The ability to customise my own categories for boards, and tag contacts and place them in these categories would be very useful for sorting out follow ups from work meetings, or even personal ones. It also serves as a visual reminder of top client prospects and progress with these prospects.
Here are some examples of what Todoist suggests:
The point is not so much the individual use case, but how boards that can be customised could fit a number of other use cases that customers might have. An alternative would be some form of integration with Todoist, that would be super cool to see.
All the best! Great application by the way.

Lead tracking progress bar

It would be great to have an option to mark a contact as a lead (probably can via a tag already) but be able to track the conversion of the lead to a sale. Right now I am trying to find a simple solution where I can set my goal of say, 10 booked calls this week, and 5 new clients and I would love to have a simple checklist each time I accomplish one and see the progress (ex. 50% there to reaching your goal).

Visualize Deal Flow

I'm an MBA student breaking into VC and many of my professional contacts are deals I need to track for my personal angel investing or scouting. It would be great to have something that organizes my dealflow.
